Bishop Dr. Bobby Gray & Mother Mary Gray, Pastor & First Lady

Bishop Dr. Bobby Gray has been in the ministry for 48 years.  He began his ministry in January 1976 under Elder Elroy Smith in the Pentecostal Ministries of the World.

Bishop Gray received his high school diploma from Ball High School in Seguin, Texas.  Upon graduating from high school he attended Prairie View A&M College.  In 1955 he entered the military serving in the United States Marine Corps.  Serving in the military brought many challenging situations but with the help of God he was brought out victorious.  While serving in the Corps in spent a total of six years aboard Naval vessels at sea.  He also served a tour of duty in the Republic of Vietnam receiving the Navy Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Aircrew Wings, and the Vietnam Service Medal.  Other duties while in Vietnam included Squadron Maintenance Inspection Leader, Subunit Quality Assurance Chief and Subunit Maintenance Chief.

Upon completion of his tour in Vietnam, Bishop Gray was assigned duty at the Naval Air Technical Training Command (NATTC), Memphis Tennessee as an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor.  It was while he was stationed there, he met Bishop Gary Hunt, Pastor, Faith Apostolic Temple, Memphis, Tennessee.  For the next three years, Bishop Gray was instructed in the Apostolic Faith and Oneness of God.  It was truly a blessing how God had directed his path from Prairie View A&M College in 1955 to Bishop Hunt in 1968.  He was appointed President of the Brotherhood Department at faith Apostolic Temple.  Bishop Hunt ordained him a Deacon while serving under his pastoral leadership.

In April 1973 as a Deacon in the Church, Deacon Gray and his family were transferred back to Jacksonville, NC where he met an Apostolic brother, Robert Meredith.  God also directed this relationship.  It was a brotherly relationship that became a Pastor and Assistant Pastor relationship.  What God puts together cannot be divided or separated but will only solidify.

After twenty years of military service on October 1, 1975, Deacon Gray retired from the military and returned to Seguin, Texas.  He attended Southwest Texas State University for three years until the call came for him to return to Shiloh Apostolic Holiness Church, Jacksonville, NC.  He was ordained an Elder in 1979 and appointed by the Pastor to be the Assistant Pastor of the Church.  Elder Gray was privileged to serve in many capacities as a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.  He served as Teacher of the New Converts Class, Member of the Shiloh Church Board of Governors, President of the Private School Board of Governors, Private School Administrator, Individual Financial Advisor, President of Pentecostal Ministries of the World Convention Committee.

On July 29, 2005, Elder Bobby Gray was consecrated a Suffragan Bishop in the Body of Christ Apostolic Fellowship Inc. (BOCAF). 

In July 2007, Suffragan Bishop received a bachelor and master’s degree in Christian education from International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth (IAUGT) in Columbus, Ohio.  In September of 2007, Suffragan Bishop Gray was elevated to the office of Bishop.  

In 2008 Bishop Gray received his Doctor of Theology Degree.

In May of 2015 after the passing of Bishop Dr Robert Meredith, he- along with his wife of 62 years, Mary Gray, became the Pastor and First Lady of Shiloh Apostolic Holiness Church, Jacksonville, N.C.
